Dutch international heavy lift contractor Mammoet and the Belgian based heavy lift and transport group Aertssen have entered into a strategic partnership in Qatar.
The two companies will join forces in the country in order to meet the growing demand in the energy and infrastructure sectors, which are subject to a massive inflow of investment.
The Mammoet-Aertssen alliance will see the two companies collaborate and pool their individual strengths and capabilities in order to provide a ‘one stop shop’ service for projects from logistics and installation solutions to heavy lift equipment in order to win a larger share of the available business.
Jack van den Brink, managing director of Mammoet in the Middle East, Africa and Asia pacific said: "This strategic move allows us to leverage the collective strengths of Mammoet and Aertssen. By combining our capabilities, we are well positioned to serve projects in Qatar, with the aim to bring greater efficiency for all of our customers there”.
Tony Nuyts, general manager of UAE based Aertssen Machinery Service, which covers the Middle East & North Africa added: "We are proud to be part of this partnership and look forward to providing solutions across various sectors, including the construction, civil, infrastructure, oil and gas and power sectors. This collaboration enables us to offer versatile solutions, ranging from small mobile cranes for quick operations to complex engineered heavy lifting and transport projects."
Belgium's Aertssen group set up Aertssen Machinery Services (AMS) around 10 years ago, in order to strengthen its presence in the UAE market by creating a brand new division. Based in Abu Dhabi, with an office in Qatar, the business specialises in heavy lifting and transport covering throughout the region.
