Niederstätter expands Liebherr tower crane territory

Italian sales and service company Niederstätter has been appointed as the official Liebherr tower crane dealer for all sales and service, for all of Lombardy.

based in Bolzano, South Tyrol, the company also has branches in Bruneck, Verona and Treviso. It has worked with Liebherr tower cranes for many years and already covers the South Tyrol, and Veneto regions as well as the province of Pordenone in Friuli-Venezia Giulia.

As part of the move Niederstatter will open an additional service and training centre in Castelli Calepio near Bergamo. The new location is located alongside the autostrada/highway connecting it to the Milan-Bergamo-Brescia triangle.

Liebherr Biberach managing director Marco Guariglia said: “With the strategically important and economically strong region of Lombardy, it was important to us to find a partner who was large enough to cover the entire region. It was also of interest to sell our technologically high quality cranes through a competent dealer. Niederstätter is the right partner for us. We have been working with them for 35 years and the employees know Liebherr cranes inside and out.”

Managing director Daniela Niederstätter added: “Despite the current difficult overall situation, we see very good conditions for further expansion in northern Italy. In the Milan area, we have been looking after large construction sites with our extensive rental fleet for around ten years. We will now also expand the new crane and service business.”
