Fatal fall

A man working on utility poles has died after falling from the platform of a vehicle mounted utility platform/bucket truck in Waynesboro, Virgina last month.

The man, Phillip Sandridge, 48, was helping replace a number of telegraph/utility poles and was working at a height of around seven metres, when, we understand something went wrong causing him to be thrown out of the platform. The incident occurred on Friday May 24th.

Sandridge worked with and owned P&S Electric, which his father had set up in 2002, with the deceased taking over the business more recently. The company operated a 55ft/18m utility type work platform, and we assume it was this machine he fell from. We will of course update this is if and when we learn more.
