German crane cab and remote control manufacturer, Spohn + Burkhardt has opened a facility in Connecticut, North America.
The new location in Milford will house a sales team, customer service department, an inventory of parts and products and have a service and repair centre on site with further plans to establish a manufacturing facility in the coming months.

Chief executive Markus Seifert said: "We are thrilled to establish a direct presence in North America. This new division will enable us to provide our customers with enhanced support and local product service."

Headquartered in Blaubeuren, west of Munich and founded in 1920, Spohn + Burkhardt manufacture operator control stations, joy sticks, portable remote controls for cranes, construction and mining equipment.
