UK construction company Vinci Building has taken delivery of a Wolff 355B luffing jib tower crane with a second one due to arrive in June.
The 355B is equipped with a 60 metre jib, a 40.5 metre tower, a 288 metres a minute hoist line speed and the Wolff Boost Function allowing up to a 10 percent increase in capacity.
The first crane has been installed at the £138 million Sheffield Forgemasters project for work on the construction of a 40 metre superstructure for the UK’s largest open-die forging press.
Wolffkran sales director Adrian Hawkins said: "As the provider of Wolff Tower Cranes, we are incredibly proud and privileged to be Vinci Building's chosen supplier. Witnessing the cranes being erected in Sheffield, close to our premises, is a truly magnificent moment for us.”
“Both Wolff 355 B tower cranes will also receive service and maintenance from Wolffkran under our maintenance agreement. We look forward to collaborating closely with Vinci on the Sheffield Forgemasters project and future endeavours where these cranes will play a vital role."
