Hewden appoints management team

Hewden has appointed a new "executive team" to replace its previous executive board for 2003 to take full responsibility for the strategic and operational management of the group.

The new team consists of Paul Jarvis, who was appointed as chief executive in December 2000, Bob Netherway, who was appointed finance director in March 2001, Fred Batho, managing director rental services general, Allan Bowie, managing director rental services special, Brian Sherlock, managing director hire centres, David Shaw, business development director and Helen Sidaway, human resources director.

Dave Lawrence and Dave Turnbull, currently operations managers, have been named as joint general managers for Hewden's mobile crane business following the departure of Alex Lowe to HTC Plant.

The company has also announced the departure of its former group executive director of rental services, Roger Quenby, who leaves Hewden after 30 years of service.
