Irish rental company Liffey Crane Hire has taken delivery of three new Unic spider cranes, one URW-295-2 and two URW-376s – following its partnership in 2023.
The URW-376 has a maximum capacity of 2.9 tonnes at a 2.5 metre radius, with 110kg available at the maximum working radius of 14.45 metres and 300kg at the maximum lifting height of 14.9 metres, which can be extended to 16.63 metres with a jib. Overall weight is 3,850kg with diesel engine or 4,000kg with electric power.
The URW-376
The URW-295-2 can handle 2.9 tonnes at a 1.4 metre radius, with a maximum radius of 8.41 metres and a maximum lift height of 8.8 metres on the main boom, which extends to 9.8 metres and 8.7 metres with the three section hydraulic jib installed.

Based in Park West, Dublin, the company was originally set up in 1998 as Liffey Glass transport by managing director Michael Gill and operations director Brendan Nolan, adding other glass handling activities a few years later, including crane rental. In 2022 the company launched the Liffey Training Academy providing specialist training for operators and managers.
