The municipality of Laa an der Thaya in Austria's Mistelbach district due north of Vienna on the Czech border has taken delivery of a 22.2 metre Multitel MT222 telescopic truck mount from local distributor Dorn Lift.
Mounted on a 3.5 tonne Iveco, the MT222 can be operated on a standard Category B driving licence and provides an outreach of 12.3 metres through 360 degrees of slew with an unrestricted platform capacity of 80kg. Alternatively it can manage 200kg at an outreach of 9.7 metres or 250kg at 8.8 metres. The new platform will be used for street lighting maintenance, sports field lighting systems and tree pruning work.
Operator training was included
12 employees from the municipality's construction yard have completed operator training, which was delivered by Dorn Lift managing director Alexander Dorn.
Mayor Brigitte Ribisch said: "With this aerial work platform, we can carry out our work at height even more efficiently and safely, for example at the floodlight system at the municipal sports field. Our employees will benefit enormously from this investment, which will be used in many areas."
Dorn Lift – acquired by Felbermayr in 2023 – is based in Vorarlberg and has supplied aerial work platforms across Austria, Germany and Liechtenstein for more than 30 years.
