UK based L&N Platforms has taken delivery of a 38 metre Bronto Skylift S38XDT truck mounted platform, replacing its 36 metre S36XDT.
The handover
The S38XDT has 27 metres of outreach with an up & over height of 10.5 metres and below ground level reach of seven metres. Platform capacity is 600kg, with 180 degrees of platform rotation. It will be used for window and building cleaning, as well as maintenance and bird prevention work across London and Southeast England.

L&N director Lee Roebuck said: "We just find that Brontos are tough. When we're cleaning windows, nine times out of ten we're using the full outreach, full load, and often full height. We get great backup service from Central Platform Services (CPS). I can always reach someone – and that's just what we need, because we're often out at one or two o'clock in the morning."

Based in Kent, southern England, L&N Platforms was established by former Bronto operators Lee and Nicky Roebuck. Starting with a single 34 metre Bronto S34XDT truck mount, the company has grown to employ six staff and operates a rental fleet alongside its façade and window cleaning services.
