Three models make up the range – the MT1436, MT1440, MT1840 – with Rental (R), Extendable and Precise (EP) and Access (A) versions available. Lift heights are 13.52 metres, 15.40 metres and 17.50 metres with outreach ranging from 9.42 metres to 13.17 metres. The

Improved stability is one of the new machine’s main features with 1.2 tonnes being carried at maximum reach using the stabilisers.

The new range also offers a 1,000kg capacity platform version as standard allowing more materials to be carried. The platform can also be extended from 2.25 metres to 4.0 metres.

With a width of 2.38 metres and a height of 2.45 metres combined with an outer wheel turning circle of 4 metres gives the new machine good manoeuvrability – helped by good all-round visibility.

Manitou offers a choice between a conventional hydrostatic transmission and a ‘soft shift’ torque converter which it is claimed helps reduce material loss when starting.
A negative action parking brake means that the machine can be immobilised, even on slopes, avoiding any possibility of forgetting to apply a handbrake.

The completely new MT Privilege machines have 2 cu metres of cab space with the very latest heating and demisting systems. All machines use the new JSM (Joystick Switch and Move) which controls all machine movements in the palm of your hand. One-handed placement and lifting of loads is also possible - lifting and telescoping on one side and lifting and excavation on the other.
The direction reverse switch is built-in for right-hand control, leaving the left hand free to be permanently placed on the steering wheel.
