Irish Cranes & Lifting has supplied six 24 tonne Raimondi MRT573 flat top tower cranes to contractor Walls Construction for a mixed use development in Rathborne, Dublin.
The six units on site
The cranes feature jib lengths between 40 and 50 metres, with tip loads ranging from 12.4 to 16.5 tonnes. Working at freestanding heights of 72 metres, the cranes are equipped with 110kW hoists offering maximum speeds of 109 metres a minute and 1,000 metre drum capacities.
Irish Cranes general director Robert Coffey said: "We are proud to continue playing a pivotal role in Ireland's large scale developments and to support one of the country's most prominent construction firms. For this job site, Walls Construction selected six of the most powerful cranes in the range, ensuring efficiency and precision in lifting operations."
The cranes have been erected with nearby housing and local rail infrastructure taken into account
The development includes six buildings up to 14 floors high and will provide 700 residential units plus commercial space.
Mauro Masetti, Raimondi’s sales director added: "Building on the success of the MRT573, the new T577 further enhances load handling, adaptability, and ease of installation. With technological advancements improving job site safety, remote assistance, and lifting precision, these cranes are designed to minimise downtime and optimise efficiency."
The cranes are expected to remain on site for around two years. Due to the site's location near residential areas and a railway station, the cranes feature zoning and anti-collision systems, with some units de-rated to 75 percent of their maximum capacity in order to comply with local regulations.
