The Königstein Fortress in Saxony, Germany has taken delivery of a 22 metre Ruthmann BlueLift SA22 spider lift.
The unit is powered by Lithium-ion batteries and offers a working height of 22 metres, an outreach of 10.5 metres and an up & over height of 8.5 metres. Fitted with a 1kV bucket, it has a maximum platform capacity of 230kg. The unit also feature the company’s asymmetric stability system, which automatically calculates the outrigger set-up to determine the working diagram.
The spider arrives on site with the fortress behind
To reach the site, the spider was transported via a 40 metre goods lift - the only access point to the fortress, which is situated above the River Elbe.

The unit was then tracked across the fortress plateau to its designated position and will be used for building maintenance and tree care operations across the fortress complex.
