German crane and aerial lift manufacturer Böcker has broken ground for a new service centre located on a 3,200 square metre site on the Ob Heckenwald industrial estate in Eschbronn, Baden-Württemberg, southwest Germany.
Managing director Alexander Böcker was joined by Eschbronn's deputy mayor, representatives from the Böcker service team and general contractor Freyler Industriebau for the symbolic groundbreaking ceremony this week.

The facility will initially provide 650 square metres of covered space, including a service hall with three fully equipped work bays, storage and logistics areas, a wash down area and a two storey office wing. The centre will handle maintenance, repairs and testing of Böcker cranes, hoists and lifts. The site will also offer training and equipment rental.

The new facility will be powered entirely by renewable energy through a photovoltaic system and heat pump technology. Böcker is currently recruiting mechatronics technicians and mechanics for the new location.
This expansion increases Böcker's presence in Germany to eight locations, including its headquarters in Werne. Preliminary groundworks began in April, with building construction scheduled to start in June. The official opening is planned for spring next year.
