Italian tracked aerial lift and crane manufacturer Almac will unveil its own line of articulated spider lifts at GIS in Piacenza this week. Almost certainly based on the Easy Lift products, following its acquisition of the Italian spider lift specialist last month. See:
Dubbed the BA Line it includes four models with working heights of 15, 18, 21, and 24 metres, respectively which apart from the B1890 – which has a long single riser - include dual risers, two or three section telescopic booms and articulating jibs.
Automatic outrigger set up and levelling is standard, and power options include diesel, Petrol/gas, Bi-energy/hybrid and battery electric. This company also claims that the new machines will feature lower maintenance costs through a number of unspecified ‘technical solutions’.
The four new models
The range starts with the 15 metre B1570-A which offers a maximum outreach of 6.8 metres with its maximum platform capacity of 230kg, at an up & over height of 6.2 metres and overall stowed width of 830mm and weighs 2,000kg.
The B1890-A has a maximum working height of 17.6 metres and a maximum outreach of 8.5 metres at an up & over height of 5.3 metres with 120kg of its 200kg maximum capacity in the basket. Overall width is 855mm and total weight 2,330kg.
The larger models include the B2190-A with a maximum working height of 20.4 metres and a maximum outreach of 9.8metres at an up & over height of 8.8 metres with its maximum platform capacity of 230kg. Overall width is 890mm and total weight 2,850kg.
The top of the line B2490-A
Finally, the largest unit is the B2490-A, with it has a maximum working height of 23.5 metres and a maximum outreach of 11.50 metres with its maximum platform capacity of 230kg at an up & over height of 11 metres. Overall weight is 3,250kg, while the overall stowed width is 990mm

Vertikal Comment
Another interesting move from Almac, following last week's announcement that it was entering the self-propelled wheeled boom lift market. See: Almac adds wheels. This one though appears to be more of a badging exercise. We will learn more once the show opens.
