APS adds to sales team

UK based Aerial lift distributor Access Platform Sales (APS) has appointed Tom Heasman as South West UK area sales and key accounts manager.

He joins APS from rental company Elite Access where he has been UK sales manager for the past four years or so, having spent his entire career in the lifting industry beginning as a mobile engineer for Ashtead, after seven and a half years with the company he moved to a similar role at Prolift Access until the end of 2014, after a few months with the company, he was recruited by AFI as a senior engineer, moving to JLG as a field service representative two and a half years later. In 2019, he was promoted to territory account manager for the Midlands and South of England, before joining Elite Access in mid 2022.

Heasman said: “Joining APS at such an exciting time for the business is a great opportunity. The company has a strong reputation and clear growth plans, and I’m looking forward to helping customers find the right solutions for their work.”

APS director Andy Bray added: “Tom’s combination of technical expertise and sales experience makes him a fantastic addition to the team. He understands the machines and the market, and we’re confident he’ll strengthen our presence in the South West.”

Founded in 1987 by Jim Daintith, APS is based in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire and distributes a wide range of access equipment throughout the UK.
