Ireland's Fiontar group has joined IPAF, the first international health & safety consultancy to become a member of the federation.
The company works with contractors across Ireland and the UK on complex construction projects, advising on safety and risk management, while providing a wide range of support services, including training. As an IPAF member, it will step up its promotion of best practice and the safe use of aerial work platforms, mast climbers and hoists.

IPAF Irish country manager Damien O’Connor said: “As a consultancy working across major projects, Fiontar’s influence from the planning stage through to delivery will help strengthen best practice and support the safe and effective use of powered access equipment across the industry.”
Fiontar commercial development director Karen Mulvey added: “Joining IPAF is an important step for us as we continue to support contractors and clients working in complex, high risk construction environments across Ireland and international markets. Construction is getting more complex, risk is increasing, and the expectation on safety leadership has never been higher. From data centres to pharma, we are working at the front end of high risk environments where planning, coordination and execution must be right first time."
"Joining IPAF strengthens our ability to influence best practice, particularly around powered access and working at height, one of the highest risk areas in our industry. We are not here to follow standards. We are here to help set them."
