500 Sinobooms for Ban Ngai

Malaysian, International rental company Ban Ngai has placed an order for around 500 aerial work platforms, with Chinese manufacturer Sinoboom. The order, said to be worth in the region of $30 million, includes a large number of boom lifts, mostly mid to high reach models, many of them high specification electric or hybrid machines with full telematics. All of which is reflected in the total value of the deal.

The contract also calls for the two companies to expand their ‘strategic partnership’. While details on this are a little vague, the announcement says: “It further reinforces the foundation of mutual trust and product alignment between our two companies, and lays a solid foundation for Ban Ngai’s global expansion strategy, including its existing operations in Nigeria and further planned outposts in Africa.”

The company has plans to expand its rental fleet to around 5,000 machines by the start of next year and 8,500 units by 2030, with the aim of being the regional market leader.
