180 work platforms and cranes for Canlift

Canadian rental company Canlift has made a multimillion-dollar investment in 180 new booms, scissors and mast lifts, along with new Jekko cranes, in order to expand its fleet to meet growing demand in Ontario generated by increased infrastructure spending on hospitals and energy projects, as well as industrial and commercial builds.

The new machines include 19ft JLG 1930ES, ES1930M scissor lifts. Up to the 185ft telescopic 1850SJ boom lift. Another major beneficiary is MEC, including a number of its 20ft MME20 mast lifts.

The investment was made as the company approached its 17th anniversary last month. This latest order follows a $10 million spend on 70 new JLG lifts and telehandlers last year.

In addition, the company has purchased several Jekko cranes, including the 2.8 tonne SPX328 and 3.2 tonne SPX532 spider cranes, as well as its MPK06.2 and MPK10.2 MiniPicker pick & carry cranes with upgraded vacuum glass handling attachments.

Jekko’s Canadian master dealer, Leavitt Cranes, has also appointed CanLift as its regional dealer for Southern Ontario.

Leavitt Cranes business development manager Rob Dattilo said: “CanLift’s stellar reputation for service across the GTA and beyond makes them an ideal partner in delivering Jekko’s industry leading innovation.

Canlift’s Johnny Dragicevic added: “Speciality lifting has typically meant adding another supplier to the job. By closing the gap between core and niche equipment, our focus is on making sure contractors are not piecing together solutions across vendors and can secure what they need from a single source without delays.”

CanLift Equipment is one of the largest family owned and managed aerial lift rental companies in Ontario, Canada. The company was established in 2009 by joint managing directors Marko and Johnny Dragicevic, along with marketing and technology director Ryan Fitzgibbon and Jacob Fuller. Today, it is based in Burlington, Ontario, with a branch further west in Dorchester /London, Ontario.
