Platform Parts UK has moved into a bigger facility in Durham, northeast England, as it completes its rebranding from Cherrypicker Shop under Vertimac ownership.
Cherrypicker Shop adopted the Platform Parts name last year after it was Vertimac acquired the business. The new facility is five times larger than the company's previous location.
Platform Parts UK managing director Tom Cribb said: "The combination of the new warehouse and being part of a larger organisation means more parts in stock, faster delivery times and more competitive pricing. It gives us significant headroom for future growth. Our goal is to become the UK's parts provider of choice, for both access rental companies and end users."

Cribb co-founded Cherrypicker Shop and holds a minority stake in the company. The business has traded under a dual identity - ‘Cherrypicker Shop - a Platform Parts company’ - since the November acquisition, but plans to launch the Platform Parts UK name at this year's Vertikal Days.
Company context and history:
Cherrypicker Shop was established in County Durham in mid 2020 by Richard Tindale and Tom Cribb, initially selling new and used platforms plus spare parts for discontinued lines such as Simon. As the parts side of the business grew to generate the bulk of its revenue, the pair rebranded it as Cherry Picker Parts, or CPS. Over its five years of operation, CPS grew into a significant multi-brand parts supplier for aerial work platforms and was appointed a Genie Authorised Parts Provider in 2025, building an extensive inventory that enables next day delivery, making it a one stop shop for mixed rental fleets and service engineers. Similarly, Vertimac was established in 2011 as a used equipment business, adding spare parts shipments alongside its equipment sales from 2015, that parts operation has since grown significantly, prompting the company to rename itself Platform Parts in September last year.
