UK rental company Blade Lifting and Logistics has taken delivery of a six tonne/ 48 metre Böcker AK48 truck mounted crane, as part of an undisclosed multi-unit order.

The AK 48 - launched at Bauma 2022 - features a four section main boom plus a three section telescopic jib for a maximum tip height of 49 metres with a maximum radius of 40 metres. It can handle its maximum capacity at eight metres radius and take 1.5 tonnes to a height of 27.5 metres and a radius of 24 metres. When used as a work platform, it offers a maximum platform capacity of 350kg, with a 48 metre working height.

Blade is based in Bradford, West Yorkshire, but operates across 24 locations in the UK. It's best known for its truck mounted platform rental fleet, which ranges from 3.5 tonne, 20 metre self-drive models up to 90 metre machines, including the Bronto 90HLAX and Ruthmann T900HF. It also offers spider lifts up to 40 metres, along with large boom and scissor lifts.
