Escorts Construction launches new pick and carry cranes

Escorts Construction Equipment - a subsidiary of Escorts one of India's largest engineering groups - has launched the new TRX series of pick and carry cranes.

The new TRX series includes the 23 tonne TRX 2319, the 17 tonne TRX 1713, and the 16 tonne TRX 1614.

Rajesh Sharma, associate VP, marketing and sales said: "ECEL has been a pioneer in pick and carry cranes and it has always come out with new products and innovations in line with the customer needs. With the launch of new TRX series, we will take the process of innovations forward and maintain leadership."

"The TRX series cranes have been designed to handle heavier loads to higher heights to cope with the scaling-up of construction and infrastructure projects and also to meet global operational and safety standards."

He added that because of the enhanced features and safety, the cranes will also find a market outside India.

In another development, ECEL in partnership with Alpha Services - a leading manufacturer of mobile tower cranes in India - will exclusively be marketing its range of self-erecting mobile tower cranes.

The under-hook height of 39 metres is said to be the highest in the country in this sector. The machines are either towable or self propelled.

ECEL is a subsidiary of Escorts and a dominant player in the material handling, construction equipment and road construction equipment sectors. It has a wide range of products such as pick and carry cranes, slew cranes, loaders, vibratory soil compactors and tandem vibratory rollers. The recent launch will further strengthen its position in the market.

In May this year the company announced an agreement with Japan's IHI Construction Machinery, for marketing of its crawler cranes in India.

ECEL also finalised an agreement with China-based Weihai Huata Building Machinery Co to market its range of tower cranes in the country. Weihai, one of the largest specialist manufacturers of tower cranes, produces the 'Huata' brand of tower cranes.
