Barin underbridge unit to Germany
A second large Barin underbride inspection platform is operating in Germany. The unit - an ABC 180/1200/LS - has been bought by Berlin-based rental company Easy Lift.

Berlin-based Easy Lift has bought a Barin underbridge unit
The first Barin underbridge unit was purchased by Roggermaier Arbeitsbuhnen. The Munchen-Kirchheim based company has been buying Barin machines since 1998.
Barin says that one of the main features of the unit is its ability to work over bridge barriers and side walks.

An additional 3 tonnes counterweight means the unit can clear sidewalks up to 4.3 metres wide.
Manufactured in Italy, the unit is mounted onto a Scania P380 LB 8x2 truck and uses a Hetronic wireless remote control system.
An additional three tonnes of counterweight is fitted to allow the platform to clear bridge sidewalks up to 4.3 metres wide.
The unit can clear up to 5.6 metres of bridge barrier, has a horizontal underbridge outreach of 20 metres and a maximum vertical depth of 9.0 metres. The platform capacity is 650kg with a maximum GVW of (including additional counterweight) of 35 tonnes.

The unit has a 9.0 metre vertical underbridge depth
The unit also has a hydraulically operated lift on the the platform that can raise one operator - up to 120kg - up four metres above the platform for inspection purposes.
