Davidson will focus on marketing Street’s new range of competitively priced high technology hoists to North American manufacturers.
He said: “In my new role I will be responsible for introducing independent regional crane builders to Street’s advanced hoist technology. Street Crane has had a presence as a hoist supplier in North America for only a little time but has gained a reputation for hoists that are innovative and soundly engineered.”
“I have been able to see the new generation of hoists the company has developed and think that North American manufacturers will appreciate not just their design and build quality, but exceptional competitiveness.”
Street says that this appointment is part of a world-wide expansion aimed at substantially increasing its hoist and component sales business. The company has been developing a new generation of hoists using 3D modelling techniques, finite element analysis, critical vibration tests and accelerated life testing.
The result it says is a family of robust modular based hoists, that meet or exceed standards in all major industrial markets, set new performance and quality benchmarks and have the adaptability to meet the specific needs of many users.
