Lewis Equipment orders Zoomlion truck cranes

Texas-based turnkey crane and lift service provider Lewis Equipment Company has placed an order worth $33.9 million for Zoomlion truck cranes. The company is exclusive distributor for Zoomlion truck cranes and crawlers in the Gulf-Coast region.

Lewis has placed an order for Zoomlion truck cranes worth .9 million

The machines supplied by Zoomlion International Trade Co - a subsidiary of the Changsha Zoomlion Heavy Industries Science & Technology Development Co - will be delivered to Houston in several batches. Lewis will pay a $500,000 deposit.

Zhan Chunxin, chairman of Zoomlion, said the sizeable order helps promote the company's products overseas.
"Zoomlion's global deployment has become more visible, and its exports are growing fast," he said. "particularly from developing countries in central Asia, south Asia, Africa and Latin America to developed countries."

Zoomlion's recent financial report shows its revenues reached CNY 6.2 billion (£410 million) in the first three quarters of 2007 with about 15 percent from exports. The company expects a jump of between 100-150 percent profit in 2007.
