Danish firm takes Fassi's new flagship

The first Fassi 150 tonne/metre knuckle boom crane has been delivered to Vagn Poulsen in Søvrad, Denmark. The F1500AXP, now Fassi’s flagship knuckle boom, was assembled on a standard Scania truck chassis belonging to Vagn Poulsen before being delivered to the company through Fassi’s Denmark-based distributor, Fassi Kraner. The unit has been specially equipped with two winches on the main boom and, according to Fassi, will be particularly suited to the transportation of prefabricated industrial warehouse components and to use in the private housing sector, both very active markets in Denmark at present.

Fassi said that it has already taken further orders for the F1500AXP from firms in France, the UK and its native Italy. The unit itself, which Fassi says is the largest and most powerful knuckle boom to be assembled on standard chassis, features up to eight boom extensions with MPES telescopic extension system and a double ram and double linkage boom connecting system. Safety features include Fassi’s electronic control system, integrated machine control, automatic dynamic control and load weighing system.
