AJ Wins its CAP

AJ Access Platforms the UK based sales and rental company, and part of the Access Link has become the fifth IPAF accredited CAP assessment centre in the UK,

The Competent Assessed Person scheme certifies that a person is ‘competent’ to carry out six monthly machine inspections to the highest standards in accordance with IPAF and industry criteria.

The UK LOLER requirements stipulate that all machine inspections must be carried out by a competent person but then does not detail what constitutes ‘competent’.

When a service engineer has completed the CAP assessment and gained his CAP card it provides a reputable third party confirmation of competence. Giving peace of mind to the equipment owner or employer while providing a proof of competence in the case of any legal action.

Mike Fenn, AJ Access training manager said: “The addition of the CAP Assessment course to our existing IPAF courses mean we can offer training solutions to everyone involved in the powered access industry, from operator through to managers and now engineers.”
