New MD at Worldift

Ernest Fuller, managing director of Worldlift Industries, the Danish company that owns Denkalift and Falck Schmidt has left the company effective March 1st.

At the same time Kent Lyngaard Vinkel, 40, took over the managing directors role. Vinkel was previously vice president of tower production at wind turbine manufacturer Vestas Towers A/S. He is a mechanical engineer by education and has experience implementing Six Sigma management practices.

Worldlift is owned by Skako Industries.

Vertikal Comment

This change is a little bit surprising given that Worldift has made solid progress under Fuller, and is most likely to be subject to a sale. Skako has always made it clear that it is not in the access business for the long haul, and that it would prefer to seek a buyer for Worldlift when the time is right.

Given the state of the market over the past 12 months it looked as though that timing might now have been right and that Fuller would complete this before moving on to a new challenge. Clearly not.
