Crane cuts power

Two miles of electric grid in Northwest Miami-Dade was without power yesterday afternoon after a man operating a boom truck at a roofing company hit the overhead power lines.

The operator in his 30’s was controlling the crane from the ground station, he received a severe shock and was rushed to the Trauma Center at Jackson Memorial Hospital by Miami-Dade Fire Rescue.

No update has been issued regarding his condition.
