£2 million scaffold deal for SGB

SGB UK, a division of Harsco Access Services has won a contract to provide scaffolding to Jacobs Engineering during construction of a new distillate hydrotreater at the Lindsey Oil Refinery in North Lincolnshire, the UK’s third largest refinery.

The order is the first order from Jacobs for Harsco’s UK access services operations. Jacobs is one of the world’s largest providers of support services to process plant operators.

The new facility will boost the production of sulfur-free diesel fuel and provide greater flexibility in the type of crude oils that can be processed. The Lindsey refinery has a processing capacity in excess of 10 million tons of crude oil per year, or more than 200,000 barrels per day. SGB/Harsco’s scaffolding services will support construction through the middle of 2009.
