Haulotte shows Holland Lift scissor
Visitors to Haulotte's stand at bauma have been surprised to find a G-300DL30 Holland Lift scissor lift on display. Its presence highlights the fact that Haulotte and Terex have finally concluded their discussions relating to Haulotte's purchase of Terex's factories in Cork, Ireland and Hoorn in The Netherlands.
Pierre Saubot, president of Pinguely-Haulotte, told vertikal.net that he planned to keep the Holland Lift name and did not expect to make many changes to the range as "there is very little cross over with our existing products".
He added that changes were likely in the range of platforms built by the Cork factory as "there is a lot of cross over with existing models". He predicted that Cork would be focussed on building small articulating and telescopic booms and confirmed that the two factories were offered for sale by Terex as an indivisible package.
Confirmation that the deal had now been concluded also came from Ron DeFeo, president of Terex. He told vertikal.net that the deal has received the necessary official approval from relevant trade union bodies and that he "expected to receive payment within about 30 days".
This was echoed by Pierre Saubot who "expects to have the keys within 30 days!" He added that the two factories would contribute €15 million
