Northern Cranes buys Parkland

Northern Crane Services has purchased the assets and business of Parkland Crane Service of Stony Plain, Alberta, the company which serves the Edmonton market, runs cranes from eight to 200 tons, will be fully integrated with NCS.

Parkland was established over 27 years ago by Jim and Barb Robinson, Robison said: "The merger is exciting for us and our customers as additional equipment and resources provided by NCS will allow us to continue to provide an outstanding level of service to our customers. In addition, we are excited about becoming a part of the Northern Crane family."

Leo Davis, chief executive and co-founder of NCS said: "We are excited to have a well established company, such as Parkland, come into the NCS fold. Parkland Crane is very much a family business and we are excited to welcome all of the Parkland employees into the Northern Crane family. Jim and his family have built a tremendous business and we couldn't be happier to welcome the whole team."

Northern Cranes was acquired by Northwest Capital Appreciation in 2006, and purchased A-1 crane of Grande Prairie, Alberta in mid 2007 and Mullen crane of Soda Springs Idaho in April this year.
