A rescue of a depressed man on the roof?

You might think that the two men in the platform, heading up to the man on the roof are organising the rescue of a depressed workman on the roof. In fact he is checking out the gutter downspout.

The men in the platform are all spot on with harnesses and short lanyards… excellent.

No it is a man with a blocked down spout

The man on the roof however clearly has been trained at a different school or simply is a macho fellow who eschews fripperies such as work platforms or harnesses as he hangs over the edge.

It then gets worse as he uses some sort of pole or drain rod to try and clear the downspout. Should the rod suddenly break through the chances of the man going with it and tumbling over the edge are fairly high.
