Jackie Hanford leaves SED

Jackie Hanford of SED, the UK construction equipment show, is retiring later this month after 30 years. Hanford was literally half of a two person team with Mark Bresnahan, that built the show up from a rough and ready demonstration event in a field to a major and very polished exhibition.

The partnership of the two has been a formidable force that has pushed the show forward through good times and bad. While their tough no nonsense approach has not been popular with everyone, they are widely respected for
having kept the show moving forward with single minded determination.

Bresnahan is staying on with SED, which is owned by the Reed publishing group, although his duties have changed this year.
