BLE takes on Potain in Belgium
Manitowoc has appointed BLE, currently the Grove distributor for Belgium, as the dealer for Potain self-erecting cranes in the country..
The new arrangement is already underway and BLE is planning two customer days in September to formally launch its distribution of the product line.
BLE has picked out several models that it believes are well-suited to the Belgian market. First is the Igo MC 13, targeted at house builders thanks to its fitted transport axle and a set-up time of 15 minutes along with the larger Igo 18 and Igo 22 models. It has also promoting the manufacturers telescopic self erecting tower cranes – the Igo T 70 and Igo T 85.
Paul Spaepen, general manager of BLE, said: “The Potain range of self-erecting cranes is at the top of the market. The level of technology puts them ahead of anything else. They put a strong emphasis on making the operator comfortable which makes for a very productive crane.”
Frans Vanwinkel, senior vice president of sales and marketing for Manitowoc in Europe, Africa and the Middle East said: “BLE has done an excellent job with Grove mobile cranes in Belgium so we had no hesitation in naming them as a dealer for our Potain self-erecting cranes. Their approach to customer service as a Manitowoc Crane Care dealer is known throughout the industry in Belgium. We see this as another powerful partnership.”
