Julian Dyer (L) of Terex hands over the new AC140-1 to Maurice Tierney, owner of M&M.

As soon as the crane arrived it went straight to work and has not stopped since, the company says that its compact dimensions – including a 2.75 metre wide chassis means that it can go anywhere an 80 tonner goes and yet its 60 metre main boom plus 17 metre swingaway give it the reach of larger cranes.

M&M says that the new crane, which has a 140 tonne rating at three metres through 360 degrees, perfectly complements its existing 200 tonne Terex-Demag AC200-1. The company is continuing to invest in new cranes, with several deliveries planned through 2009.
