Kobelco up 12%

Kobe Steel, parent company has reported its first half numbers which show revenues at Kobelco cranes for the period to the end of September, increased by almost 12 percent Yen 195.5 billion ($1.98billion).

Operating profits were roughly flat at Yen13.1 billion due to higher material and component costs during the period.

Kobe says that demand for Kobelco cranes continues to be strong across all of its markets, Kobelco will post further detail on its interim results next week.
