Speedy wins £3 million deal

Speedy - the UK’s largest tool and equipment hire business - has secured a three-year £3 million contract to supply tools and equipment to Simons Construction, one of the UK’s leading privately owned construction companies.

Under the contract Speedy will provide all tools and equipment including lifting, power and surveying equipment, as well as temporary accommodation. Speedy will also act as the sole agent for general plant administration.

Speedy will service the contract from a dedicated hire desk staffed within Simons’ Lincoln Head Office. This will enable the contractor’s personnel to call one telephone number to access ordering, administration, management information and payments, which will be supplied from Speedy Hire’s 450 strong network of branches and depots across the country.

A bespoke management package will also provide reports that monitor delivery and collection performance, equipment mix, breakdown response and spend analysis.
