Snorkel to launch new boom

Snorkel is to launch a new straight boom platform with jib at the ARA show in March. Only brief details of the new 65ft Snorkel TB65J with 5ft jib have been released.

But, says the company, the platform is "an enhanced version of the TB66J, which has a 6ft jib that could articulate from parallel with the boom to a minus 75 degree angle to the boom."

"The new positive 5ft jib allows both the negative 70 degree but also allows a positive 70 degree above the horizontal plane. It also offers 65 degree more articulation than the previous jib."

Snorkel says the enhancement is in response to customer feedback: "Customers would rather have the increased articulation than the extra foot of reach that the old TB66J provided."
