JLG appoints new VP manufacturing

JLG has appointed Donald F. Roy as senior vice president – manufacturing, responsible for leading JLG operations and lean initiatives, as well as, developing and executing JLG’s global manufacturing strategy.

Roy, who will report directly to JLG president Craig Paylor, was previously vice president of operations at the Trane Residential Air Conditioning Division of Ingersoll Rand.

Prior to joining Trane, he spent 27 years with General Electric, where he developed significant expertise in manufacturing, supply chain, facility optimisation and project management, and directed international assignments in Norway, Canada and startup operations in China. Roy is a qualified mechanical engineer.

Paylor said: “Don brings a wealth of experience in global manufacturing best practices, six sigma, lean, supply chain, materials management and production planning.”

“He will ensure that our operations continue to provide a strategic business advantage by generating world-class customer satisfaction with exceptional product quality, optimising facility utilisation, and driving both lean and continuous improvement initiatives throughout our operations.”
