The Boss X3 push around scissor

APS says that the Boss X3 fits well with it’s other products and should prove popular with both its rental fleet customers and end users. The company is also a 50 percent partner in UpRight Powered Access Sales UK.

Youngman says that it is planning to sell the BossX3 overseas and has designed the lift to meet ANSI standards as well as CE and other international regulations. The unit comes as standard with a self seeking dual voltage battery charger.

Several orders for the new product were booked at the show.

Vertikal Comment

This is a smart move on Youngman’s part, the company knows how to distribute alloy scaffold and ladders with the best of them, selling and supporting even a simple powered platform on a any scale, is an entirely different proposition.

With APS on board the company will benefit from an increased focus on the product and support from a specialist that also has business links with IPS giving it the best product support coverage in the UK.

With all these new entrants into the push around scissorlift market many at wondering who will come out on top and how the originator – Pop Up – will fare.

In all likelihood the number of extra salesmen spreading the word, combined with the wide range of products now available, will boost the size of this market substantially. The main casualty is likely to be ladders, podium steps and small scaffolds rather than other push around producers.
