Record revenues at System Lift

German based, aerial lift rental franchise network, System Lift, achieved record revenues in 2008, up 23 percent on 2007 to around €190 million. Rental revenues accounted for €102 million of the sales, an increase of 24 percent.

More than €36 million was invested in new equipment during the year, bringing the number of work platforms within the group to 6,668, while the number of employees increased by five percent to 430.

At the group's annual conference - held in Schlosshotel Friedewald near Bad Hersfeld in Germany - chairman of the System Lift board, Leopold Mayrhofer, said: “I am delighted with the excellent results and very proud of the companies we have a partnership with and the people who work for them."

Mayrhofer said he does not expect to repeat 2008’s result, because of the recession which he says is already making itself felt, but he added that the company was ‘well positioned for the future’ and with its range of services, "will be able to survive in the more competitive environment".

Since the beginning of 2009, three new partners have joined System Lift AG: Mobilift from Cologne, Autokrane Schares from Bocholt and Arbeitsbühne Ziegler Lifting from Aschaffenburg. As a result, the franchiese network has a total of 60 partners and 70 locations.
