Jib drops in Oklahoma

The jib of a lattice boom crane, along with its headache ball, dropped from a crane on a site in Oklahoma City yesterday, tangling in the boom of another crane.

The crane was being used to set construction forms when the at least seven metres of the jib broke free and fell 25 metres to the ground,

A telescopic crane takes the strain

No one was injured in the incident and a third crane and boom lift were brought in along with the emergency services to recover the dangling jib.
