Active Rentals for the high jump

12 Athletes from Kilbarchan AAC were able to compete in the Northern Ireland Junior Indoor Championships thanks to Active Rentals managing director Andy McCusker who paid for their minibus transport. Kilbarchan AAC team coach, Kenny Milton, is a senior engineer at the Scottish access, sales and rental company.

The Kilbarchan dozen



The Kilbarchan dozen took part in the Northern Ireland Junior Indoor Championships and despite some excellent opposition achieved some great results. Hazel Ross, who won the Scottish Schools High Jump title last week, won the Irish under-16s title with an outstanding 1.71m clearance.The Park Mains High School pupil was a double winner, taking also the under-17s 60m Hurdles title in 9.21secs.
At the same meeting, but in the under-16 age group, there were silver medals for Jack Lochans in the High Jump, clearing 1.70m, and for Frances Campbell in the 60m where she delivered a personal best time of 8.46secs. All the others competing managed to reach finals or came home with personal best performances.
