Stolen truck mounts

If you are in the UK or perhaps near any port from the UK keep eye out for two red and white Loxam truck mounted lifts stolen last night.

The units, a 2007 34 metre Bronto S34MDT GB registration FJ57 NHV- serial number 5543-469 mounted on an Iveco chassis and a 22 metre GSR/Skyking 198PX mounted on a Nissan Cabstar chassis – GB registration number FM07 FBE, serial number AP1038. were stolen from Loxam’s Pontefract branch overnight, after thieves disabled the alarms, cut the fence and broke into the premises.

The units are likely to be headed for the ports en-route to continental Europe or Ireland. They are painted bright red with white so are not exactly discreet vehicles.

Warning: This theft has been carried out by some extremely well organised thieves. They began by cutting the telephone lines in the street to disable to alarms cut the gates and then broke into the offices to obtain the keys. They knew exactly what they were doing and are quite likely to strike again.
