Bank of England leave rate at four percent
The Bank of Englands Monetary Policy Committee left Sterlings base rate at four percent today as widely predicted. Many experts though expect this to be a temporary lull, with Interest rates expected to climb to 4.5 percent over the summer, possibly peaking as high as five percent by year end.
The current high rate of sterling, is thought to be creating a cautious attitude among committee members.
