Ian James to leave APS
Ian James, general manager of Access Platform Sales (APS), the UK distributor for Hinowa, Omme and UpRight – through UPAS - has announced his departure from the company.
James says that he leaves APS on totally amicable terms for personal reasons and in light of the current, slower market he feels that he can take what amounts to a sabbatical. During his time away from the industry he will spend more time with his family and consider his future career.

James told Vertikal.Net that he wanted to take time out to reflect and may consider coming back into the powered access industry in some role or other later in the year.
While James will leave the business next week he says that he will be on hand to assist and support the company if and when necessary.
In the short term James’s duties are likely to be shared between founder Jim Daintith and sales manager Lee Louder.
James joined APS in early 2005 after closing his own business, Delta Rentals, following the loss of the Toucan account to JLG which had acquired the product line from Grove in 2004.
