New products at Vertikal Days
his years Vertikal days is just over a month away and already promises to be one of the best in every way with some radical new products and ideas to see.
One of the more unusual products will be a new platform emergency escape/rescue device from Kingfisher Access.

The compact device incorporates a friction descent reel which, combined with one of the company’s multi link harnesses, allows an operator stranded in an elevated platform to safely lower himself to the ground under his own control. The company is planning to demonstrate the device every hour from a 60ft boom at Vertikal Days.

The device takes the strain
Kingfisher’s owner George Reid was the first person in the company to test the new device last week from a 40ft articulated boom lift. He says that it worked perfectly in spite of miserable weather with 20mph plus winds.

And he then lowers himself to the ground in a controlled and safe manner
The device is a last resort rescue method and is specifically designed for such use. Versions are available for heights approaching 50 metres, but could be built to cope with up to 100 metres.
Other products never seen before in the UK include the Giraf Track, the heavy duty crawler mounted boom lift/crane; Mecaplus self levelling boom lifts for tree pruning and general applications. The new Tadano Faun ATF 130G-5 130 tonne All Terrain crane.
The new 150 tonne Liebherr LTM 1150-6.1 All Terrain crane with the latest version of the company’s Bluetooth remote control system which will be demonstated regularly and Jekko will unveil a brand new mini crane. These are just a few of the new and innovative and innovative products planned for launch at the event.

There will also be a good number of seminars and workshops from organisations such as the CPA, HSE, IPAF and ALLMI as well as a number of suppliers including Higher Concept rental software which is planning a series of workshops for its clients and prospects.
