Kennards acquires in Port Douglas

Kennards Hire of Australia has moved into Port Douglas, Queensland, with the acquisition of Coral Coast Hire, from Scott Clarksmith.

The new Port Douglas location is situated on the Captain Cook Highway and rounds out its coverage of Northern Queensland.

Clarksmith will continue to run his Uptown Rentals & Events, party and event hire and resort and vacation hire operations from his warehouse in Sawmill Road, Mossman. "I am not getting any younger and I thought it was time to downsize,” he said.

"The people of Port Douglas and the Douglas Shire will benefit because Kennards is a great company and they have the resources to provide a much larger range of equipment. They are also more user-friendly than some other big hire companies and I think that’s because they are still family owned and operated."
