Another crane fire
Another All Terrain crane has caught fire causing substantial damage, the latest is a Grove GMK7450, the flagship of the Melrose Crane and Rigging fleet in Sydney.

As with most such cases the cranes engine caught fire and starts to spread to causing extensive damage. This one is not nearly as bad as some of the other cases we have seen over the past 18 months and looks as though the fire may have been extinguished.

The tyres survived this fire
We understand that the crane, the largest readily roadable crane on the east coast will be recovered tomorrow.
