Keeping an eye on the Ashes

A 62 metre Bronto Skylift truck mounted lift, rented from the Skylift division of Lavendon UK, was used to film the first of the Ashes test matches between Australia and England in Cardiff.

Skytlift’s 62 metre lift is equipped as standard with a special camera platform for film work such as this, making it an ideal tool for capturing the five days of play.

The fact that the unit also offers 360 degree continuous rotation and 37 metres of outreach, allowing the operator to film from a wide variety of heights and angles, without moving the base machine.

With the first Test resulting in a draw, Skylift is booked by Sky Sports for the entire Ashes series. Including the second test at Lords, where a Skylift 50 and 58 metre units watched England beat the Aussies for the first time at Lords for 75 years.
